The purpose of our study is to examine how 6 months of either yoga, stretching-toning or aerobic exercise will affect the cognitive and physical health of older adults.

One Step at a Time- A Fully Remote Physical Activity Program for Working Adults

This 12-week, low-time commitment exercise study aims to provide the tools, resources and support for full-time working adults (ages 45-65) to begin a sustainable active lifestyle!

Strides- A Home Exercise Study for Cancer Survivors

This study aims to promote physical activity among Cancer survivors by implementing a 12-week exercise promotion program with information collected from cancer survivors in focus groups.

Optical Measures of Cerebral Arterial Function in Aging

A cross-sectional and longitudinal study examining the relationship between cerebral arterial function, and associated risk factors, with cognitive health and risk for mild to severe cognitive impairment.

To participate in this study you must be:

  • Must be 50-75 years old
  • No history of depression, major central nervous system disorder, myocardial infarction, or other severe, life threatening medical condition.
  • English speaker
  • Normal of corrected to normal vision
  • Not taking medications for diabetes
  • Normal of corrected to normal vision

 

Think FAST: Investigating how fitness, activity, and sedentary time affect cognitive function

A cross-sectional study examining the relationship between sitting time, endurance fitness, and cognitive function in healthy adults.

STAY Fit Study: Strength Training, Aerobic Walking and Yoga for Cancer Survivors

A randomized control trial examining the effects of yoga, strength training, and aerobic walking on cancer survivors. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the three groups and participate in a 12-week group exercise program.

Immediate and Delayed Acute Effects of Yoga and Interval-based Exercise on Cognitive Function

A repeated measures study examining the acute (immediate) effects of a 20 minute yoga session vs. a 20 minute high intensity interval exercise session on cognitive function in college students.

A cross sectional study examining level and pattern of physical activity, cognitive functioning and functional fitness in stroke survivors.
